Charlie Thompson Sports Therapy

Charlie Thompson Sports Therapy is an injury management, diagnostics and treatment service that covers a wide spectrum of injuries such as sprains and strains, knee instability, shoulder impingement & pathology, muscular imbalances, tension & tightness and much more.

Furthermore, Charlie Thompson Sports Therapy can provide sports massage for those that suffer with aches, stiffness and tension from their muscles. This usually happens due to occupation (such as a desk job), lack of flexibility or poor posture/technique.

Treatment sessions possess a variety of modalities which can be utilised dependant on the injury. Whether this is mobilisations to increase range of movement, soft tissue massage to loosen up over-reactive muscles or ultrasound to help speed up the healing process, each treatment will be injury specific and tailored to suit your needs.

If you are in pain or have an injury that prevents you from participating in sports or working, get in touch to start the process of being fixed and on the road to recovery.

Affiliated with Brightlingsea Regent FC First Team and Brightlingsea Colne Football Academy

Charlie Thompson Sports Therapy provides injury diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for the senior First Team at Brightlingsea Regent FC. This involves one to one sessions with injured team members where players are clinically treated and also strengthened and conditioned at the Taydal Stadium. Gait analysis and rehabilitation are the main focal points to ensure players return to the squad fully fit and ready for the physical battle of the Bostik Football League Premier Division.

Charlie Thompson Sports Therapy is heavily involved in the Colne Football Academy which is a development pathway for Brightlingsea Regent Football Club. Over 35 boys make up the two squads at the Academy where responsibilities are to ensure all boys are fully fit, injury free and are put through various injury prevention methods. This also involves sessions for those that do pick up injuries which include treatment, rehabilitation and strength & conditioning techniques to make sure the same or pre-existing injuries do not occur again.
